Veteran's Medical Assistance

Many heroic veterans have returned from Iraq, Afghanistan or other world conflicts to have their wounds treated and body parts put back together as well as is medically and surgically possible only to find they do not have access to a physician for daily medical needs. Dr. James E. Pickens (co-sponsor of this website) is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who has concentrated his practice on this type of surgery as well as wellness programs utilizing supplements, prescription medications and an abundance of treatments to improve the health of those who need more than what traditional medicine and surgery has to offer. Dr. Pickens is willing to offer his professional advice and direction at no charge to any of the returning and injured veterans within the rocky mountain region.

"I have practiced medicine in Salt Lake City and the surrounding area for more than 25 years. I believe I can be of service to these veterans' needs and I want to do it. During my residency in Durham, North Carolina, I served on the medical staff at the VA Hospital that was associated with Duke University. During my residency and my medical career in Salt Lake City, I served at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Salt Lake City connected with the University of Utah College of Medicine. During some of the time I served at the VA Hospital in Salt Lake City, I filled the capacity of Chief of the Plastic Surgery section so I am very familiar with hospitals that are providing care to veterans. I believe that I can help many of these people via the telephone and make recommendations."
